Tsinghua Jinfan Chinese Orchestra attended the 8th "Hollywood Angel Cup" in the United States and won the Grand prize

Western Time, February 6-8, 2015，The eighth annual Hollywood "Angel Cup" International Youth Music and Arts Festival, sponsored by the American International Youth Culture and Arts Association, has come to an end in Los Angeles，14 performing arts troupes from China and the United States，A total of 387 primary and secondary school students participated in competitions, performances and exchange activities。

Led by Hu Jun, director of the office of Jifan Chinese Orchestra, and Zhang Guomei, deputy director of the Student Development Center, 28 students of Jifan Chinese Orchestra went to the United States to participate in this high-level and wide range of competitions and performances。

After the preliminary examination and on-site competition, Tsinghua Jinfan Chinese Orchestra won both the "First Prize of National Art Team" and the "Best Performance Skill Award", and was the only participating team to win two awards。Mr. Wang Lei, Deputy Consul General of China in Los Angeles, presented the award to Tsinghua Jinfan Chinese Orchestra。

In his subsequent speech, Mr. Wang Lei stressed: "Chinese and American youth come together to exchange skills, learn from each other and deepen friendship。This has played an important role in deepening mutual understanding and friendly relations between the Chinese and American people。”

During the competition, Professor Sasha, director of the "Angel Cup" judge group, also gave a live stage performance teaching for the students of the Chinese Orchestra of Tsinghua High School, which benefited the students a lot。

As part of the series of education of "Make the Golden Sail Man, cast the soul of the nation", the Jinfan Chinese Orchestra of Tsinghua High School Attached to the New Year will arrange the players to participate in the chamber music competition every holiday, in order to urge these students who will become the main players of the orchestra to strengthen technical practice and increase competition experience。
